Who Is Esther Smith

Gospel musician Esther Smith hails from Ghana. She was born in the early 1970s in Kumasi, Suame, Ghana. At the age of 14, Esther became involved in the music scene at Tesano Methodist Church by joining the choir.

She went to the School of Languages and Garden City Computer Training and Typing School in Kumasi, Ghana, after completing her secondary education. She once more joined a singing ensemble that Kapital Radio, a Kumasi-based private radio station, had formed.

At the 2003 Ghana Music Awards, she took home the Best Female Vocal Performance of the Year, Gospel Album of the Year, and Gospel Artiste of the Year awards.
