Celestine Donkor is a lyricist and gospel musician from Ghana. In March 2021, the 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch named her one of the Top 30 Most Influential Women in Music. She also founded the yearly Gospel music performance, Celestial Praise.

Mr. and Mrs. Akakpo, who are both from Ghana’s Volta area, are the parents of Donkor. She attended St. Augustine Preparatory School in Abeka Lapaz for her elementary education before continuing on to Nsaaniya Secondary Business School in Kasoa for her secondary education. She went on to earn her BA (Hons) in Sociology and Information Studies from the University of Ghana in Legon.

Donkor collaborated with numerous gospel musicians, including Joe Mettle, Joyce Blessing, Ceccy Twum, Mkhululi Bhebhe, Edem, Philipa Baafi, Funny Face. She has many hit songs, including “Turning around”, “Bigger”, “Okronkronhene”, “Manim Nguase”, “Boobobo”.

Her latest Album Agbebolo earned her the Artiste of the year at the National Gospel Music Awards.
